They say you have to go to this orientation stuff at school, It doesnt hurt if you dont go... You're usually not missing anything at all.

Indeed, and never EVER take the general orientation class at your school (major-specific ones are usually fine). They suck. Period.

My cousin tells me about a general orientation class where you get to attend two pointless lectures, learn about why a gargoyle on campus has no head, and then eat at a restraunt to "experience the culture". No credit for the course either.

The orientation was an actual class? Thats rather pointless... Mine was just a few hours of blah blah blah, with some games and stuff the next day...
All it really was, was for a way to get to know more people while you were there. |
